Results of a tender for the sale of 800 tonnes of tin from the Vinto metallurgical complex (CMV) in Bolivia are due to be announced on 23 August, a mining ministry spokesman told Business News Americas. Four companies are reported to have submitted bids.
The sale supplements contracts awarded to a number of trading companies last month for monthly sales over periods ranging from six to twelve months. These are believed to amount to some 650 tonnes per month in total, accounting for the majority of the plant’s current production.
