Peru’s gold, copper, lead, zinc, silver and tin output all declined in April, according to data released by the Ministry of Mines and Energy on Tuesday. Mine production of tin-in-concentrate dropped 1.7% compared to April 2009 to 3,147 tonnes. From ITRI’s own records we calculate that cumulative tin mine output in the first four months of this year amounted to 12,370 tonnes, up 1.3% on the same period of 2009. All of Peru’s mine production comes from Minsur’s San Rafael mine.
