At its fifth tender for tin this year on 16 June South Korea’s Public Procurement Service (PPS) bought 200 tonnes of MSC brand standard grade 400 ppm lead tin at a c.i.f premium of US$325 to the LME price. Cumulative purchases to date in 2015 now amount to 1,000 tonnes, in line with the agency’s typical annual purchases of some 2,000 tpy. PPS is a state procurement and stockpiling agency serving small and medium sized companies in Korea and currently holds a stock of some 3,000 tonnes.
