South Korea’s Public Procurement Service has again re-issued a tender for 200 tonnes of tin, this time for standard grade 99.85% material for delivery to Incheon by 2 June. Only one company bid for the contract the agency said on Friday. Its previous tender in February for 200 tonnes of 99.9% high grade tin was also re-issued when no bids were initially received.
Hanwha Corp. has won both recent tenders for 200 tonnes each of standard and high grade tin. The PPS, which acts as a purchasing service for small- and medium-sized manufacturers, has budgeted to buy 1,910 tonnes of tin in 2010.
