Cornwall Council’s Planning Committee has approved environmental conditions for tin mining at South Crofty near Redruth, reports the BBC today on their website.  BaseResult Holding Limited, who bought the disused site in 2001, was hopeful that South Crofty would start mining tin at a profit within two-and-a-half years.
