Ministry of Trade figures released today show that the volume of tin checked for export from Indonesia in May was 7,150 tonnes, according to Bloomberg. The May ready for export figure, valued at US$160.8 million, is 9% lower than the corresponding April volume of 7,858 tonnes (value $155.3 million).

The ministry data is compiled from reports by two official surveying companies as part of the export licensing system introduced in February last year. The cumulative total volume reported for the first five months of the year is 40,959 tonnes, while the 12 month rolling total is 106,516 tonnes.
